Default 17 S60 Start Stop Message New batteries

Hey all, I just swapped both batteries in my 2017 s60 Inscription have the "Start/Stop service needed" message that will not go away. Per the video, I tried unplugging both batteries for up to 30 minutes. Same message. I have had 2 days of normal driving (45 minutes each way)

Any other thoughts?

When you put the new batteries in the car, did you get them coded to the car? If not, its likely the error message will keep on appearing until you do get them coded.
If you did get them coded correctly then I'm out of ideas.

This would be the first time hearing about coding the battery. I understand there is a message that needs to be cleared with a tool that dealers and some mechanics have. I've also seen that leaving the battery is unplugged for 30 minutes is a fix for some.

How can you possibly 'code' an individual battery to a car?

A battery has no 'individual personality', all batteries appear the same when connected to the car.

It is the fault code that needs removing so may be an OBD reader could do this or may be leaving the batteries disconnected overnight will do it.

By 'coding' the battery, I actually mean 'telling' the car (by the use of a code, i.e. coding) that a new battery has been installed allowing the systems to know that the new readings being received from the battery (voltage, amperage etc) are the new normal (much like resetting your TPMS after adjusting your tyre pressures so the car knows the new 'normal' rolling circumference of the wheel/tyre).
Call it whatever you want but it will need either a dealer or a dealer diagnostic tool plugging in to accomplish this but maybe an OBD reader can do this also if you know which menu's to go to etc.

I thought this was a common occurrence when replacing the more modern Start/Stop batteries as the computers used to track the batteries life and decide when Start/Stop can be activated in modern cars need to be told when a new battery has been installed.

My start stop very rarely works but I don’t have any fault messages.
What I do get, is the app telling me my car is unlocked when it isn’t. Usually in cold weather. Is this a sign of ailing battery(ies)? 5 year old V90 90k miles on original batteries.

Put your battery on charge overnight or longer if you can, use charge connections in engine bay, this usually get stop start working again, if it still only lasts a day or two you may need a new aux battery.

Car unlocked notification is not linked to this, it is normal to have "historic" unlocked notices in the app if you leave the car stopped but unlocked for periods during the day, maybe while parked and waiting for someone, I usually have 2 or 3 historic notifications on the app every Thursday after taking my wife shopping and waiting in supermarket car parks for her. Opening the app will remove them if car is locked when you do so.
I get the notifications on my phone while waiting in my car, I just silence them and usually go on the app later to remove them. All normal and not a fault.

I hope you don't mind me asking in your thread,
I also have some issues with batteries. Car was seating for about 4 months before I bought it.
Car would not allow for infotainment to work unless it was started,
I just checked my battery voltage on the jump start terminals and it is 11.83V. Which seems quite low, considering I just did 300 mile trip.
I will try charging them overnight, maybe they will take and hold the charge, but in case this does not help, is there a way of checking which of the two is actually bad without disconnecting them?
