Default T5R clutch problem

Hi, very occasionally on changing gear my clutch pedal will only return half way back, on the next gear change it goes to the floor and stays there, I have to hook my toe under it and pull it back up, sometimes once sometimes two or three times until it stays up, after this it works normally. Can anyone suggest what might be causing the problem please.

1) FWIW the clucth slave cylinders (as mentioned above) do perish internally and the seals break down causing usually minor problems. These never get changed when a new clutch is fitted and neither does the clutch slave cylinder get bleeded. They are not expensive and its good practice to change them on every clutch change and bleed the system out.

2) I don't know exactly how the clutch pedal is linked on Volvo's, but I'd also check just through the bulkhead area around the back of the clutch pedal to see if there is anything causing it to stick from time to time.

Default my 850 t5 is losing loads brake fluid

i have a 850 t5 with manual gearbox & every couple of days the fluid is on the floor . i was told this is the clutch slave cylinder .& that these cost £100.00 from lipscombe volvo with out fitting .i asked the volvo specialist if this is located in the gearbox & he has told me that they are not .
as beeing slightly worried that this will leak into the clutch and knacker it . & make it slip & no good .my local garage told me to change the clutch on 850t5 it will cost nearly £600.00 this is extorsion & robbery
