Mine's done 1/2 tank, and 260 miles at the moment; it's showing 32mpg at the moment. Bu that was mainly on motorways and stuff. I tend to sit at around 76mph (120kmh) as it uses less fuel than at 80mph, if I go to 80mph it drops to 28mpg ish, adn the fuel guage gets a lead weight attached to it!!!

Only had the car a couple of weeks but so far very economical, getting 35+ per gallon locally, not been on a good run yet but hopefully better figures at cruising speeds.
1999 V40 1.6 petrol. And like the op I am very light footed as well. |

Getting roughly 35 to 38 mpg - 40% town, 40% hills and 20% motorway driving.

Jeez!! My modded T5 will, on £50 quid of super, get me 300+ miles, and I could never be accused of having a lightweight right foot

240 GLT 5-speed - 30.96mpg average since I bought it: I'm with that. I've not entered the most recent fuel bill into the spreadsheet so it'll drop slightly.
940 2.3 Turbo 5-speed - 30.29mpg average since I bought it: but the last copule of weeks have hammered the consumption so I reckon it'll be around 27 with a mix of local and M56/M6 running, the latter at or near the legal limits. I've got spreadsheet figures for both of these plus a 240SE 2.0; if anyone is interested PM me and I'll e-mail them to you.

Like Nunchukhamster, (martial artist by any chance?) I'm not renowned for having a particularly light right foot, but the computer readout tells me that I'm 'averaging' 28.7 MPG. That's with a mix of something like 50% around town, 30% country roads and 20% motorway driving.
However, when my son gets in the driving seat all bets are off, as his foot nails the load pedal to the floor!!! |

My 850 T5 (std map with MBC 12psi) recently gave an average of 31mpg on 95 ron fuel - 1500 mile tour of scotland UP and down *lots* of mountains.
Usual work-and-back runs I get about 27. Thrashing it everywhere possible - 22ish. |
