last time
my 850 has picked up a noise from the gearbox side moreso since the cold weather and the farmers crap i drive through on a day to day basis ,if i touch the clutch pedal lightly it goes,clutch is fine no slipping,getting gears ok its just a nuisance noise, thrust bearing i thought but to change that i just as well change the clutch (not me) garage,can they whir for a while or should i change soon,dont want to break down anymore (codes) anybody had a whiring thrust bearing and hasent changed it for a while,can water / crap get at it,cheers men,cam.

Sounds exactly like thrust bearing I've had it in the past, it may just be the damp getting to it or it could possibly be the bearing itself has got a little dry, I would personally leave it alone if your clutch is working ok, up to you really,
try turning the volume up on your stereo. |
