That's one way, the other way is to powerflush it, basically you drop the autobox cooling hose that goes into the radiator, extend it into a bucket and fire up the engine, the gearbox then pumps all its oil out into the bucket and you top up as you go. This way you get to change it all in one go.
Can be very messy.
