Default sloshing noise from fuel tank

Hi

Has anyone else noticed this noise? When the tank is fairly full, I can hear a noise that sounds like something rolling round in the back of the car (have checked - there isn't). I think it might be the fuel? I have a 1.6D stop/start.

Happy New Year!

Are you serious? A sloshing noise, as in fuel moving around in the tank.
Is it 1st April already.

Totally normal... And yes, it is the fuel tank... Fluids do tend to be liquidy and tend to move when the surrounding case is moving

Have you tried emptying the tank to see if you still get a "sloshing noise" lol

OMG I can't believe it, do you think it's worth asking Volvo if they'll be issuing a recall notice??

Rung them this afternoon no recall, but would be willing to look at the car for around £65ph and could take a few hours to find the fault.

I thought there were baffle plates in the fuel tank to stop fuel sloshing about.

Certainly, I've never heard any sloshing noise in my car, but maybe as I haven't got a stop/start car, and don't know how they work, the engine noise in my car is always sufficient to drowned out any sloshing noise.
