Post C30 Reduced Engine Performance - Possible MAF issue

Afternoon,

Apologies if this is in the wrong place, I'm somewhat of a newbie.

I've can see that other owners have had similar issues but no definitive answer.

I have a 2011 C30 1.6 Diesel that is giving me an issue. Around three weeks ago the engine management light came on during a 4-hour drive. I read the faults and it appeared to be a MAF sensor problem. The sensor was replaced with a new one and all was well again.

A week ago whilst on a drive into town, about a mile into the drive, I got a reduced engine performance message and the car began to run rough but no engine management light.

Thinking it might be an intercooler hose problem I checked the hoses but neither had perished.

I have hooked up the code reader but it didn't present any immediate faults. However, there's a pending fault P00BD relating to the MAF. Could this be a faulty part or an underlying issue?

Being a lone female I'm worried about taking it to a garage and being ripped off so any help would be hugely appreciated.

Thank you

There are reports of non genuine maf sensors failing after a short while.
Was yours a aftermarket maf ?
