Default Jerking

Hi,

I have a Volvo S60 2015 (D4 - 181bhp, manual).

A few months ago I had an issue where my car started jerking and stuttering intermittently below 60kph. My mechanic changed the MAF sensor as a message "Reduced Engine Performance" came up intermittently. Check engine light came on intermittently also.

This did nothing and it continued to happen. I was advised to maybe plug out the MAF sensor and it ran perfectly. Although check engine continued to come on intermittently. And "Engine Coolant Malfunction - service required" use come on but I simply pressed reset/exit and it went off.

I then went to a different mechanic and he advised a solution, the "Wind Flaps" were sticking and he send me yo an Auto Mechanic. He remapped the car whereby it kept the flaps permanently opened and it retuned the car to tell it this was okay. This stopped check engine and reduced engine performance coming up. But the jerking/stuttering continued.

I went back to the same mechanic and he advised the "Exhaust Heat Sensor" needed to be changed. Would this stop the jerking? I have put a bit of money into it and I don't want to put more money into it without the problem being fixed.

Any advice?

Thanks
M

Greetings, are you using a Volvo Specialist/Dealer who’re using Volvo diagnostics aka Vida? Or is it a garage who’re using more generic diagnostics equipment?
