Default V70 on Biodiesel cutting out after 1 min

Hi All
This is my first post. I own a 2003 v70 2.4 diesel.
Have had it running on good quality biodiesel about one year. Most time the tank would also have some normal diesel. Recently we have cold weather +2 to -6 degrees centegrade. Yesterday when I started the car and drove about half mile the engine stopped. I was able to restart it but after one min it would stop,
I was able to drive home by restarting a few times.

Anyone any ideas. I know that maybe the biodiesel is getting cold. is there sensors somewhere cutting the fuel supply

change the fuel filter , commercial diesel has addives for the winter to prevent congealing and waxing in cold temperatures .. volvo only allow a max of 5 % bio diesel you could see some big bills coming up soon ...

Hi,

Might help to actually post this in a more relevant section. Either one relating to V70 (and not the 700/900 series!) or perhaps the Diesel section.

Moved to Diesel Section...

I dont have any experience of running on Bio deisel , but with LPG , valve trouble can start to happen after 50000 miles on some volvo engines with non volvo LPG kits . So these are slow processes to cause premature wear ..

May be worth getting something called "Coldflow", as Bio does start to gel at a higher temperature than diesel, I've run mine at 50% all the way down to -6C though without additive, but I suppose it depends on the state of your fuel filter (I replace mine religiously at every service, whether needed or not...).
