map of members that can help
I use the Volvo Maintenance FAQ's for 7xx/9xx/90 Cars to add to my knowledge. I have mended volvo 245 circuit boards which have split when covered in coolant and overheated. And am possibly a geek as I do not like to be beaten by a car fault no matter how long it takes to achieve a solution. I possess rudementary tools and electronic testing equipment and build when necessary test kit for specific jobs on the car.
At present I would like help i want the complementary plug / socket that fits my 1997 Volvo 945 2.3 lpt diagnostic plug. I think it is a non-standard OBD EEC IV similar to the plug fitted on a Ford Escort in design. I also am looking for a J 1962 socket to fit the J 1962 plug on my test lead. Does any one know who can supply both or manufactures both and from where I can purchase the same? I want to make a test lead link between my OBD11 test lead and my Volvo car. I know I will have to alter the pin outs to match the car diagnostic plug(socket) |

Help Reading Codes In Oxford
Hi,
I wanted to contact Mantis to ask for help in getting my codes read on my V70 as he is local to me, but the system will not let me contact me as I am new :-( I am really having trouble with the car and don't want to have to scrap it but really am getting close to it. Any help would be really gratefully received. |

I dont know if this is allowable, if I am breaking rules or not, but I believe I have a 2003 version of Vadis (recently located), I am installing it now to test that it actually runs (I dont have a lead for the Volvo, but if it works I will get one.
I will be making this downloadable to those interested, via PM only, I warn you its 4gb in size, and it is an ISO so you will need to burn it to a DVD or use a windows mount tool to mount it on your system (I can offer guidance where needed to any on that aspect) I have also recently located VIDA All-In-One 2012, for those also interested, it is significantly larger at 7gb |
