Default How do I change V50 parking lights? (vertical strips)

Hi

Since my H7 dipped went pop, I, for the first time, pulled the excellently designed headlamp from the body to change. I also looked to change to the cool looking vertical parking light/or are they side lights? Anyway, access to the H7 is superb, but the little vertical light bulb seems not?

Is it simply a case of removing the circular panel on top and literally tugging the bulb out? No clips? No screw device?

Thanks

R

Trying to do my near side front bulb set at the moment - the access to the bulb holder for the "vertical" side/parking light is pretty narrow.

Whether you come at it via the large back-plate cover (used for access to the dipped beam bulb) or the top circular hatch that the manual says should allow access to both the main beam bulb and the parking light bulb, either way the bulb holder for this light is tricky to get at.

If I have a sudden "eureka" moment, I'll let you know...

Great many thanks - I think I can get at it with gentle application of pliers, but is it just a pull?

Yes, it just pulls out.

I ended up taking off the back cover as well as the circular top cover and then disconnected and removed the dipped beam bulb in order to create a bit more space to get my hands and the pliers in deep enough to be able to grasp the plastic of the parking light bulb holder (and not just the wires!).

I think a just need to find a longer and slimmer pair of pliers!

I shall give it a go, fingers crossed. Good luck with yours - mad they made the H7 so easy but the others so tricky?

I put led's in here a few weeks ago, they look excellent, although make the nightbreakers look a little yellow! I'm gradually changing all the d5w's to leds's.
