Default Vibration / trembling steering wheel in load xc60 D3 FWD

Hello,

I encounter a strange phenomenon in my car, an XC60 D3 (136 hp), 2013, FWD with automatic gearbox. I attach a short film to see the phenomenon.

When accelerating, there was a shake of the steering wheel more pronounced between 50-70 km / h. It only manifests in load and noticeable only in this speed range. I mention that the wheels are balanced recently.

What can be the cause?

Have you checked your ball joints/track rod ends and control arms?
Worth a check if a weight has fallen off ?
I experienced this with a worn track rod end, was made much more noticeable when tyres were replaced

If it was ok before the wheel balancing then it could be the balancing is out.

I was suspecting also this. Other strange thing that happened rarely is when i steer the wheel to right or left i feel in the steering wheel some contraction depending but not at each rotation of the wheel(i don't remember exactly because it happens only on that curved roads that connects to highways and i drive rarely). I would exclude issues with ball joints/track rod ends and control arms because the car has only 145000 KMs and it was imported from Germany where it drove on good roads.

What can i check by myself to see if it's the Driveshaft or CV joint?

Check for freeplay / backlash and also try and "feel" if the bearings are running smooth.
It's easier to do with the shafts removed from the car.

Hi,

Today i was with my car to a mechanic and looks like the CV joint from the left wheel but the one from the inside - which goes to the engine (see attached photo) has some freeplay. Has anyone replaced this part? can it be replaced or only the whole driveshaft ?

Hi,

I have managed to put the GOPRO camera under the car and made a movie with the driveshaft spinning. Do you notice anything unusual?
