  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

Glad it's worked out OK.

I'd suggest you consider doing a change of the gearbox fluid, you need a good quality Dexron III fluid and some new clips for the oil lines as these will lilkely be rusty by now. This should help preseve the gearbox.

Great news - well done MrT!

One feature you'll find of owning an older Volvo is that very often, garages and mechanics who don't know these fine cars can't understand that actually they're not semi-disposable - like your average Forxhall Disastra etc, but are well engineered and built to last.

That's why being on here is so useful. You'll find expert knowledge from qualified time-served Volvo mechanics, plus experience from enthusiastic DIY owners.

Anyone who takes the the time to learn a bit about these cars will be rewarded with reliability, repairability and surprisingly cost-effective motoring - and in some style and luxury to boot!

It's no coincidence that the comment is often made on here that this is one of the best, if not the best, car owners forum around.
