Default Air con possible problem

Hi, quick AC question on 2002 V70 with climate

I had car re-gassed early last year - first time id had it done in 3 years and it wasn't getting cold - all was fine after re-gas

The AC gets used regularly

But I've been using windows/sunroof more often this year, but I noticed when I used the AC it all of a sudden didn't feel as cold as used to be - and now quite warm air on cold setting!!

A leak maybe? What's common on these cars? ive read it seems to be the condenser (on my 855 I changed to evaporator and then had to change the compressor!!)

I've looked at the condenser - nothing obvious. I think last time dye put in and the guy who regassed said would need black light to see leaks

I was considering a re-gas 'just to see what happens'

Would anyone recommend Kwikfit? I wouldn't generally frequent Kwikfit but ive been assured they cant get it wrong with regas and aren't that bad....

I've used Kwik Fit with an unusual car ( grey import ) and had no problems.
I think they still guarantee the re-gas as well, so nothing to lose really. (IMHO)

It's quite typical. The A/C compressor clutch plate has worn and needs replaced. Look at pressure plate and see what is the gap.

Many have inserted little shims instead of removing the plate, which seems to work well for a while.
