Yes you can, but you need the mounts/brackets from the 740 etc to fit, you can make your own with hockey pucks (technically not the best idea, but many have done before, and you won't die) There are also poly replacements that are a bolt in solution

The big question is, why would you want to? Hydraulic engine mounts are much smoother than solid ones.

I've not done one on a 7/9xx Mark but done a couple on other cars (mainly 800 series Rovers) and with either an engine hoist or a thick block of wood to spread the load on the sump, easy enough, undo the nuts, lift the engine, pull the old one out then Haynes it with the new one.

Its an easy job took me 30 mins to replace the nr side one this morning but do give them a blast of wd40 or something a day before hand makes life easier 13mm socket and a 16mm is all thats needed and a block of wood and jack just dont lift the engine to high because of the heater pipes ect tbh you dont have to lift it much to get them out i cut out a notch in the block to sit where the drain plug is

One of those might be helpful once the engine is lifted Mark, just as a support mechanism but i don't think they are designed for lifting as such. Could be wrong though!
