Hi Duane,
The inlet manifold nipple is here:

I am sure that when i looked at BT this was missing and the other end of the PCV heater pipe:

, which on the non I/C versions connects to the inlet manifold nipple actually connected to some contraption that went round the cam cover...This is the connection i am interested in and a decent shot of this would be fab...

Cheers
Jod

ah that got binned years ago mate. I think i've still got the pipe your talking about that goes over the cam cover then connected to the vac tree, it was some sort of heater but i removed it & put a pipe straight to the vac tree. I've binned the whole valve on the ina=take pipe as well now because i've made a new one with silicone joints & stainless tube

Evidence of a buggered rear main seal is oil dripping from between the clutch or autobox housing and the engine...
What is considered to be a high consumption?

Its hard to quantify, but every few weeks i find myself tipping more oil in the machine... when before the C70 im used to having a car where i can ignore oil for months on end...

How many miles have you done?...
5l is a lot, my last T5 went through about 4L every 5000 miles or so....
Have you tried removing the filler cap and dip stick with the engine running and testing for pressure that way...
Assume no oil leaks BTW....

My C70 was using around 1 litre of oil in 400 miles. When removing the dipstick / filler cap there was no steam / vapour.

When I change the oil trap, the drain hole back into the block was blocked with 'mayonnaise'. Since changing the oil trap I've only done about 300 miles and it hasn't used any measurable amount of oil.

Yeah, its because Photobucket got all profit hungry. Now unless Jod rehosts the images (or pays for Photobucket premium accounts) they'll be forever watermarked like they are currently.

Here's a link to an excellent (and working) guide: https://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/fo...ic.php?t=28487

Shame Jod's went down, he had such excellent content.
