Saab 9-3 Non starter
Afternoon all.
Apologies for being a non Volvo related thread however,it is Swedish haha. And i'm sure that we have Saab owner's new and old on here that could hopefully help. Ok,it's a 2005 Saab 9-3 tid Vector Sportwagon. So,what's it doing/not doing The key goes in the ignition, Turn the key until the ignition light's come on, All light's come on apart from the glow plug light, The fuel gauge twitches but it doesn't rise, and yes there's plenty go go juice in. A message comes's on the driver display saying "Traction control failure",contact service. Turn the key to start and nothing, diddly poop. This happened last Friday morning so it's been stood for a week whilst we've been sunning it up. I checked the battery earlier and that's showing 12.4v. Any help appreciated Regard's,Jason

I've got an 06 petrol convertible, 'xc70jason', and it did something very similar to this just after I bought it. The 'twitching' gauges sound very familiar, and I immediately thought 'flat battery'.
Your voltage reading gainsays that, but another coincidence is that when the AA patrol ran a check on my battery, he pronounced it OK. He jump started the car and all was well. That was almost 18 months ago and I've had no further trouble. I still don't know what the fault was and put it down to the car having a tantrum! I'm afraid that I'm unable to throw any more light on the matter, but hope that you get it sorted. Regards, John.

Hello John and thank's for your input.
I'm thinking (and hoping) it's only the battery. A friend of my Dad's is calling around shortly to have a look at it. Regard's
