Can you recommend a good mechanic for my V70R?
Hi,
I own a 2006 (bought new) V70R which I have (so far) been servicing at the official dealer. However, I have grown to distrust them as of late and their charges are now a good percentage of the car resale value. So, I am looking for recommendations for a good/trustworthy mechanic that specializes in high performance Volvos, has access to the electronic equipment/software updates and (ideally) has good specialization in transmission issues. I live in London. Many thanks, P. |

MRG in Chippenham or Tim Williams in Coalville.
Don @ Kalmar Union may be able to recommend someone else more local but I'm not sure.

P,
glad you posted here. V70R.com is a very US centric site. I see the lads here have already offered a few suggestions! Let us know how you get on. Cheers. |

If you want your car looking after correctly by a mechanic who knows what he is doing then it is well worth your while taking the trip up to see Tim Williams, however, if you want to spend lots of money which wont get you the service you require then take it to an Volvo dealership..

Have a look around the main dealers,I guess outside London as some do offer better rates.
As said MRG have a very good reputation. http://www.volvocarspoole.co.uk/serv...?itemId=890759
