xc70 Control arm
Hi, Looking for any advice on the control arm replacement on a 2009 xc70 P2 2.4 D5(not AWD) version.
Part number in VIDA is 31317663 & 31317664 for both sides. Ive order both, fitted both and now have massive negative camber. I did check the parts before fitting and they looked identical however in my hast after removing them there is approx 15mm difference i the length, they bolt up and fit as the originals on the sub frame. I have checked with the supplier ( 2 hours on the phone) who says there correct and re-checked vida and some other online parts checkers and they should be correct. Unfortunately the originals have lost any trace of useful numbers other than 7G9N 3A052/ 53 - FM which seems to be simalr to a ford version but with a different ball joint pin size. So am i missing something... duff parts or wrong part numbers?? any help appreciated |

Obviously you have Vida so will have used the vin no to get your part numbers. I would probably be getting onto a Volvo dealer and asking if they have any answers or other part nos. Failing that they will be able to contact Volvo for assistance for you.

Your car is in the P3 platform being a 2009, not a P2... P2 would be the older model. What brand are these parts you fitted? Have you got the boxes the new ones came in to see what the part numbers are, or any tags that may have been on them? Being honest, I think its a dispatch/packing error. You ordered x part, but received something else. Their computer says you ordered x and that's all they have to go off. However, what you ordered and what you got could be different... dispatch/packing errors happen. I suggest checking any packaging/the parts fitted themselves to see if what you received matches what you ordered... I suspect not. Or ring Volvo and ask them what the correct part numbers are, then cross check it with what you have. If you ordered the wrong ones, then fair enough... its a genuine mistake. It happens us all.
