There are lots of manuals out there, and not many varios, so I wouldn't do it myself...but...

Gearbox. Prop. Gearshift linkage and stick. Bellhousing and clutch output shaft housing. Flywheel & clutch. Clutch pedal and cable.

Then there's a load of vario kit to remove...

The vario transmission is awesome, though. I'd give it a while to get used to it. The main criticism I can make of it is that it doesn't exactly do good things for the fuel efficiency, but hey...

cheers

James

Agree Its a great setup if not the most practical. A bit louder than a manual too but It's a hoot to drive. Might just have to buy a manual aswell.

Interestingly, a similar question has recently been posted in the 900 forum.......the advice was broadly the same.....DON'T! Go and buy a manual if you really want one, generally the costs of making the converstion far outweigh the cost of buying a whole car!

I too loved my Vario btw, like a little noisy go-cart to drive, utterly brilliant.

To be fair, the argument is even more compelling for the 300, as I'd say that it's easier to swap a 900 to a manual transmission...

cheers
