Replacing Brake Pressure Sensors (Part Number: 30793669)
Hi All
My 2005 Volvo S60 D5 has developed a fault in one of the brake pressure sensors (Part Number: 30793669). See attached image for the picture. My question is when I unscrew the existing sensors to replace them, how do I stop brake fluid from leaking out once the old sensor is removed and before I install the new sensor? Also, how do I tell which one is "Line 1", as that is the faulty sensor? Thanks in advance. Regards Frans |

I just put a rag under the sensor and tried to be quick. You won't lose much brake fluid and I doubt you could get any air in.
If you have VIDA you can un plug one sensor and watch the pressure readings for each sensor to identify which is which. Keith |

Good afternoon,
Take a look at my thread "Brake Pressure Sensor Identification" Dated Sept 7th 2020 I had the same problem and had to identify which sensor was which. You will still need to bleed the brakes, as I ended up with a long pedal after being very careful doing the swap. Its all in my thread. Good luck. |
