+T'ing my B230FB
So after several weeks of brainstorming back and forth between swapping my B230FB for a B230FT (or other less likely options) I've decided to go with building my engine and putting a turbo on it since 'classicswede' advised it.
I know some of the parts I have to get to make the upgrade work. Has anyone of you done this before? Could you tell me what are the major parts or things to do to have it safe for up to 300hp? Unless you got another option for me then let me know as well. |

You'll need the following
Turbo manifold Turbo/downpipe Oil and water lines Water hoses from a turbo model Turbo ecu and ezk Intercooler/hoses Think that's about it. |

I investigated going +T on my 744, and may well go ahead with it at some point. The key thing if you want to go over 200 brake is the gearbox...an M47 will lunch itself at that sort of power so you will need an M90. Not a difficult fit but will require the propshaft to be shortened and some fenagling with mounts etc. If you already have an M90, you're set but will need a heavy duty clutch if you're looking to hit 300ish I believe.
