i have a dice unit that i haven't used for about a year, it was working on my old windows 7pro laptop. I picked up a new to me volvo c30 and thought i would check for codes etc.
nothing works now! while messing about i installed vida again but when i try connecting the dice to the laptop it doesn't recognise the usb device and the usb light on dice unit doesn't light up.
do you think you would be able to check this out for me or test my dice unit?

Just to say that I was sorted with Vida for my laptop by Simon and it was so easy to install with the additional info provided. I would highly recommend to anyone thinking of trying Vida.

Hi i just reinstalled vida 2014d on my laptop and everything works except cannot read the vin. It get the message about pre 1990 car or cem module etc... the dice has worked perfectly in the past. I have vida on win 7 pro 64bit. I have searched google but no solution to this particular issue. Any help would be appreciated.

Has the same Dice and Vida worked perfectly on this same V40 in the past?

Is it one of my Dice?

Yes i just got rid of my old computer. Car, dice and vida are the same. I bought the dice online its one of the good ones. Used it for a couple of years on 2014d without fault. Any ideas should i do another fresh install?

First job would be to check and double check the connection with the OBD2 port.
Give the plug a wiggle and make sure it is fully inserted.
Check the Dice is recognised as a Dice and the drivers have loaded on the laptop.
If still no joy, test the Dice on another Volvo or as many Volvos as you can.

This is a sales thread for the Dice I sell though so if yours still doesn't work, start a new thread in the General section or the technical section for your car and include a screenshot of the issue.

I just bought a laptop and dice unit from Simon, it arrived in a very well packaged box the next day and 10 mins later I had it connected to the car and codes read. I've found Simon to be really helpful and I just wanted to let anyone who is thinking about getting a vida/dice unit that i think this has to be the easiest way, no hassles at all.
