Dice and Vida 2014d For Sale - Page 60

Hi folks. Am also looking for a Dice unit. Had some bad experiences when I purchased an OP-COM unit for a Corsa earlier this year. Got round existing problems by using a DS150E. However, it doesn't delve deep enough for my C30.

Cut to the chase. Am using Windows 10 with Virtual Box Guest system Win 7 Pro. with VIDA running nicely. Can I use a DICE unit with this, I have Guest Additions plus the Extension Pack loaded? If OK, could cheshired5 pm me with a price please?

Windows for Dice..
Right please bear with me through my rambling here 😂🙈
I have VERY little patience when it comes to computers. Just now I have a linx running the latest and greatest super windows whatever it may well be.
My last laptop displayed win32error.... there was no 33 going to happen, door open and off it ****s airborne. So in all honesty I dont fancy trying to run an earlier windows O/S
What are my options and requirements via disc space etc I would need. As I’d hazard a guess I’ll need buy another laptop which has the correct O/S version of windows?

For people with a similar outlook, by far the simplest option is to buy one of my ready setup laptops and Dice.
Turn it on and you're reading your car within a few minutes.
Keep it in good condition and when you're done, sell on the package for the same or not much less than you paid.

£250 delivered including the Dice.

Are these kits compatible with all V60 years?

Just seen a thread saying it wont work after 2014 models?

It can work on later but like most things it depends.
I can tell from the 17 digit chassis number whether it will work and be worth buying.

@cheshired5, what is the length of the DICE lead? I only have a work laptop that I can’t use for this kind of stuff, but I do have a desktop that I could set up in the garage running on windows 7 if the length of the lead would permit or I could extend?

From memory it's about 2.5 - 3 metres end to end and if that still isn't enough, USB extensions of all sizes are cheaply available.
