Volvo 340 Cheap

Hey guys, how are we all??

I'm thinking of taking my BMW off the road for a bit to maybe undergo a few plans I have creeping around. So in the meantime I fancy myself a nice lil' retro cheap car and of course the 340 was one of the first to pop into my head. Bloody love 'em after previously owning my 16v hehe!

I'm preferably after a 1.4 although I would consider a 1.7 MOT/Tax is preferable although as long as it could get through and MOT it's not a major problem. As I say, main thing is, it needs to be CHEAP (looking £300 tops). I'm based in Wolverhampton, West Midlands and will travel upto probs 50mile or so depending on how good a deal it seems

hello mate im new to the volvo owners club. i have a volvo 340 gl 3 door 1.4 its a
b reg 1984 in blue it has a full mot waiting 2 be put on it still has mot on it till march 2010 but has'nt been used for a year (its been sat in the garage) we have just had it pre m.o.ted and she is ready to go. the good bit is she has done 21.000 mile with a full volvo service history i have all the old recipts for everything including old mot's it truly looks like new in and out and that is no understatement.but on both doors it has a tiny bit of new bubble rust just starting to apear but thats it. i was going to spend the money a have them repared but i dont have the money the other thing is i want £800 ono and she is worth the money im the second owner but have only owned it for 3weeks the previous owner died and loved this car to death the most miles a yer he did was 1500 when he first bought it after that it went down to 3 to 400 miles a year i can prove this with the history. i know yous have stated that u only want to spend £300 but if you could find more this i worth the time to have a look if this is to much for u and u no anyone else would u pass it on thanks for your time and best of luck alfie.

If you're still in the market for a 340 a friend of mine has a very good 340 2 door for sale. He is an old car enthusiast and bought it after the previous owner died - said it was much too good to go for scrap. I have not seen the car but he says it's very good, "almost mint" 32,000 miles, 9 months tax , 9 months MOT. Sorry I don't know whether it's 1.4 or 1.7. If you're interested let me know and I can pass on your details.
