Default Volvo v50 will not start.

Hi, have starting problem on a v50 with 1,6 109hp tdi engine. Have commonrail pressure over 30000kpa while cranking engine. Tested live with diagnostic. And normal voltage at the glow plugs. But there is a fault U0167 (lost communication with immobilizer) What in the engine does the immobiliser shut down? Injectors?

Default Check the connections on the CEM

While replacing the heater core on my V50 I removed the CEM. When i put it back together the car would not start. It came up with the immobilizer error and low oil pressure.... I went straight back to the CEM and thoroughly checked all the connections...sure enough I had missed locking a connector in all the way (looked like it was in properly).

Car started straight away after.

Good luck
