Default XC70 - Drivers door - lock/unlock switch

I operated this switch today, which is mounted at the front of the panel on the drivers door which also houses the window switches - as I pushed the unlock side of the switch, the whole switch sunk into the door - so cannot now be used. It needs pushing back up from inside the door or possibly from inside the door speaker space - assuming its accessible with the speaker grill removed. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

I don't know if there is a hidden screw (under a cover) that will allow you to pull the handle assembly out and get to the buttons?

You'll have to remove the door panel. Clips and screws. The speakers, window mech, lock are all mounted on a module bit like an inner door panel with the handle and switches on the door card.

Many thanks for your suggestions. I may get my local Volvo dealer to deal with it. I had a similar problem on my 960, and found that the plastic after many years was fairly brittle - and it looked a bit of a mess when finished.

I have had a good look at the switch today, and there is a small (screwdriver size) hole underneath the armrest. The hole is about halfway along the length of the switch panel - this may allow the panel to be lifted out - we shall see!
