They don't want to be too tight either, I would try to replicate how tight they were when you undid them. You do not want to be stripping threads on your injectors...
I wouldn't advise that, the torque required to loosen them will be MUCH higher than the tightening torque. You could always modify a spanner and use it at 90 degrees with a torque wrench if there's access to do that. Otherwise you're into Volvo tools or scary formulae to work out the torque you're applying.

Or use a spring balance on a measured point on the spanner to give a known weight equivalence at a know distance...

or try a crowsfoot spanner on your torque wrench.

Guys,

I tightened the fuel lines today and as everybody said there were no issues. I checked for leaks and couldn't spot any. I will continue to monitor.

Thanks for your help

Apart from leaks another reason Ford used to recommend you don't reuse the pipes was that on the second assembly any swarf from the first assembly/dis-assembly could potentially get in the line and damage the injector. I've always just made sure there is no swarf/burrs present by gently using my finger tips and a blast of air, then put them back on. Never had a problem. But I reckon that the pipes only get damaged/swarfed/burred if they are over tightened.
