Hopefully I won't be without an Amazon forever. Looking a few years down the line, I'm hoping to get an estate.
What path I'll follow to get me there, I really don't know. I may have to scratch my Austin Seven itch first! |

www.volvoamazonpictures.se Of 667,791 total Amazons built, only73,220 were estates (figures from the above link), so the estates weren't common when new, and their ability as fantastic workhorses (especially the drop down tailgate, which also extends the loadbay) has meant that many have been driven into the ground. As a result, any Amazon estate is now relatively rare, and the combination of classic '50s styling (even though the estate wasn't launched until '62, the Amazon series styling is essentially a copy of a '55 Chrysler), and all round practicality (they are well suited to everyday use, despite their age), means that good examples are very sought after, and are now one of the most valuable Amazon models.

I knew the Amazon reminded me of a 50's american car for some reason. Thanks for the link.
The estate looks fabulous, as does the saloon. Keith, you know you have to! |
