123gt
I guess many of you will have spotted the 13K car on eBay. £12995. - I don't think so!

I very much like the car in this colour combination, but is this a reasonable price or is it a bit on the steep side ?

Mk 2 escort rs2000's get listed for that much regularly and there much more common than a RHD 123gt so ???
I'm no expert on these but for a low mileage car with history from a proper dealer it doesn't surprise me at all.... Just remember in 10 years time we will all probably say 'I wish I'd bought one back then' Ok there it is - my opinion only - for those who disagree, feel free to shoot me down....... This is a forum and topics are for discussion, yes ? |

Absolutely it's up for discussion. I've yet to see the market for our cars get this strong though. I can see it happening in time but very nice saloons seem to struggle past 3.5k. The escort comparison is an interesting one especially as so many mark ones passed through my hands as a younster. I'm not at all displeased that amazons are not fetching silly money because it means I can enjoy them. It's Part of the reason I guess why so many don't get restored on the negative side. Estates have clearly led the way and perhaps the rest of the range will follow?

I don't think the price is unreasonable if it is close to perfect body wise.
Millage means nothing as you have no idea how many times it has been around the clock. Time will tell on the price, if someone buys it the price can not have been that silly. |

Over priced. Poor bumpers. Mismatched paint, maybe the front has been repainted recently, note white rad core. Wrong mirrors. Spot/fog not fitted properly. Boot seal has a bit missing and a smaller bit added. Perished filler neck seal. Generally scruffy under the bonnet etc etc......
As a general car dealer I'd speculate that it was bought in at well under half of what the asking price is. Maybe a third as "just a tidy old Amazon". Maybe even less. |

Doesn't look to have the wider GT wheels either....?
For that money I'd expect EVERYTHING to be spot on Really don't like modern reg. plates on old cars either, and did someone try to repaint the jack? Sounds like the seller doesn't know much about Amazons, and while 123GTs maybe are rare-ish they seem to think VERY VERY RARE, rocking horse sh*t etc etc, they are trying their luck imho £13k for a car needing a lot of 'tidying', don't think so.
