Default 144 B20A Alternative Alternator setup

Can anyone advise on a more modern, preferably cheaper alternative for a 1971 144 with B20A that can be fitted without too much fuss?

After sitting for a couple of weeks unused, mine is not charging again & it's getting boring...

Cheaper to get it repaired. Might only need a brush pack. £20 and 10 minutes, do it on the car, or about £75 if you put it in for a complete service and repair.

This company can supply parts. Normally trade but I've found them very obliging on the phone especially if you know what you want, Have the alternator number handy. They are in Huddersfield so not too far away if you travel around a bit.

If you have a SEV Marchel then keep it! They are superb quality unmatched today . parts available , so get it fixed properly .
I got one of these off a volvo 144 in a scrap yard in 1975 ,fitted it to a different car and i have done 400,000 miles over the last 40 years with it ...
