There occasionally genuine circumstances where all symptoms lead to a specific part being faulty but it turns out to be something else. However I wouldn’t say that boost issues are likely to be in the category. The turbo itself has no electronics and is not programmable so any boost issues have to be diagnosed from faults recorded by other sensors and live data. A main dealer should have the wisdom to do that.
Every now and then we get a newbie like this who has had a nightmare with what should have been the best car they’ve owned to date - I’m convinced that in half or more of these cases the problem is the garage - not the car.

Vovlo xc90 loss of power
Hi can anyone please help me , I have a boost problem with my xc90 very similar to the you tube video attached . Does any know what could cause the probelm ? It has been back and fourth from the garage and they can't fix it . They have replaced the intercooler piper ,turbo presser senor

I couldn't see any problem in the video.
Are you getting Limp Mode with Engine Service Required message?
