Default 420K miles

You should use your Volvo for what it was made!
20 years ago, a month after our oldest son was born I bought my 940 LPT with little over 100K miles on the clock. At that time I set my goal for half a million kilometers. We were actually returning from a holiday in the UK when we passed that mark. As there was no real reason not to continue I just kept on going. It is several years later now and another 1200 miles before I will be passing 420.000 miles. Or it could even be my son, as he is no longer sitting in a rear seat Maxicosi, but moved forward to the driver seat.
I calculated that by now almost 20.000 gallons of LPG must have gone through the engine. Oil consumption is less than 1 ltr/5000 miles, which I think is still quite reasonable.
A Dutch car magazine has a topic about high mileage cars, just as an example:

4 years later, both still registered and I guess running...

My current 1988 740 is about to tick onto 340,000 miles, before that a 740 with 320,000 and a 240 with 250,000

My 740 diesel is only just run in, at about 165,000 miles. It normally does 10k/yr with me, but in the last 12 months has done under 500 miles.

My brother's '95 940 LPT auto has done 285,000 miles and still going strong

My 1994 940 2.4 diesel estate has 549505 km on the clock (= 341447 miles).

I bought it in 2005 when it had 197027 km on the dial (= 122427 miles). So far as I know, it is on its original clutch and has never had its cylinder head off. Certainly not during my ownership.

My 2019 V60 is fantastic, but has not been driven much lately, so I would be 371 when my car get to 625k. I will invite griston to my 300th birthday if he is still around. Will I still be able to get momentum fuel for my car by then?
