Default Mp3 Encoding For the V40

Hi all - I have been looking at the threads on the Internet regarding how the D40 media system will not play Mp3 from a USB stick correctly until they are in a specific format.

Can somebody tell me the correct way to encode the Mp3s ? Is it the tagging that causes the error or is it the encoding ?

Thanks in advance

thanks I managed to use the program WinMP3Packer to strip the tags and all working fine....

I see you can play video files....can you play them from USB stick - and if so which format ?

I tried a quick video and converted it to Divx format.... screen went blue then said couldnt play video format.

I have a number of DJ concerts I could load up.... I know the video cuts off when moving but does the audio still play?

Is there a magic video format as well ?

This could be good when waiting for the 'Mrs' ......she is usually never on time to be picked up
