Ttv and 850r clutch problem!
Hi guys got a 940 with m90 and ive put in the 850R clutch and ttv flywheel and extended the push rod.
Started the car and to my suprise wouldnt go into gear. Turned car off, put it in gear start it up and you can release the clutch like normal. Bled the slave just incase, still the same. Noticed that when you have your foot on the clutch and try to out the car in gear the car edges forward. Im at a complete loss and thought i needed some new ideas so help? Haha. |

Do you need to alter the height of the clutch arm pivot pin with these flywheels ?
I had to fitting the solid flywheel on my 940 just wondered if that might be the problem you have. |

I can't remember now I will have to look and see what I did. There is a rough measurement rather then washer thickness that I used. I didn't need to extend the pushrod though.
What do TTV make the flywheels for ? It's a shame they can make one that just bolts on instead of the dual mass flywheel. They ought to let buyers know what they need to do to make them work properly, have you asked them ? Last edited by Steve940estate; May 7th, 2015 at 21:08. |

if it still engages with your foot on the clutch then i would say you havent spaced the pivot arm enough

Ok so ivw had another look and removed the boot off the slave cylinder and when when clutch pedal is fully depressed the piston doesnt full come out the slave, theres still 10-15mm that the piston can go.

I fitted the solid flywheel on my car a long while ago now. It's just the standard 'dog dish' one. I used the complete 940 diesel clutch set-up with it and only had to space the pivot about 6mm.
I would have thought that if you need to lengthen the pushrod you would need to space the pivot out even more then you do with the diesel clutch. What angle does the arm sit when the clutch release bearing is up against the clutch plate ? I know on some cars it's possible to put the clutch plate in back to front so I wonder if that could be the case on yours perhaps. TTV must be selling these to be used with a particular clutch assembly, what do they recommend using ? If you are using the correct parts and the slave cylinder is bled properly it can only really be that the flywheel isn't the right size. The clutches can be a paint to bleed properly so it might be worth checking again. I think I removed mine from the mount so I could ensure the bleed nipple was at the highest point. |

Thanks for the reply. I brought the flywheel second hand so no installtion instructions.
With the bearing up against the pressure plate the arm is at 90 degrees id say. Trued all manour of length push rods, even the longest i can fit in the cylinder. May i ask how did you do the bleeding? Unclip the slave, and the flexi and have it high than the resivour i assume but did you get someone to push the clutchv as you did the nipple as you would normally bleed anything but the piston was kept in place with the inner circlip? |

It sounds like you might need more spacers behind the pivot. You need to aim to get equal travel either side of 90 if you see what I mean.
I'm surprised nobody else has fitted one. |
