  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way
  • AOL Customers: Make sure you check the 'Remember me' check box otherwise the AOL system may log you out during the session. This is a known issue with AOL.

Default Bluetooth receiver hardwire install

With some advice from lockstock I've finally given my S40 bluetooth capability!

I wanted something that was hidden (like the GROM I have in my C70) so I've got a bluetooth receiver module hidden in the cubby which is fed from a USB C power cable I've hard wired into the car (tapping into the rear cigarette lighter's power). This works really well and the bluetooth receiver I'm using has a "Car mode" which wakes / turns off based on when it detects power from the USB cable which is ignition live, so as soon as the car turns on the receiver powers up and works as if it was a factory fitted option.

Only thing I really had to do after making the power loom was to remove the centre console which is a 5 minute job after you've done it once before.

Here's the only thing you see (USB C power cable in the cubby - this can also be used to charge a phone etc..):
