Default Manually reboot Sensus / infotainment?

Hello, I've tried searching the internet and the forum, but can't find any concrete answer as whether we can do this.

Basically I am having a lot of issues with Android Auto with my new phone (Note 10+) where no media sound works.

A few people have said restarting their head units has worked, but for the Volvo I can't find out whether we can do this?

Or is the only way to turn off the car and turn it on again?

Thanks
T

When the car goes to sleep all devices shut themselves down
Sleep happens around 10 to 20 minutes after turning of the key and locking all the doors

After (a good) sleep, all devices have to boot up... which is a restart....

Thank for that - so there's no way to force it to restart without waiting?

How does VoC work then? I can unlock my car hours after I leave it - is that separate from this? Like a secondary computer or something.

A common fix for a lot of glitches is to remove battery negative lead from battery for 10 minutes and then reconnect it, but I think your problem will be a setting on your phone not ticket to allow media to be read by your car.

I've looked at the phone media allow option, and it's on. Sometimes, when its not working, the audio is off (and the car says bluetooth not connected, in the bluetooth media section) but it's on for phone calls, but when you toggle it on it just reverts to off.

I think it's an issue with the phone or app to be honest, but want to try it all. Was working fine on my previous phone for the last 9 months.

Try removing the app from phone and reinstalling it. Sometimes just doing a forced phone reboot sorts things out. Hold volume down and power button at same time for about 10 seconds to reboot.

Change the Bluetooth profile on your phone from 1.6 to 1.4. It's in the developer options so you'll need to Google steps.

Done this a few times now, after reinstalling the Android Auto app + unpairing the car and phone. It works for a little while then stops again. Phone calls continue to work, but media plays with no sound.

If it let android auto drive the set up process when the cable gets plugged in for the first time, it seems to hold (though it may break and I haven't noticed this). As soon as I open the app on my phone (e.g. to modify settings) it breaks usually the next time i get in the car. As soon as I use bluetooth on the car without the cable plugged in for audio, it breaks as well the next time it restarts!

Surprisingly, it's already on 1.4! It also says that's the default!
