Default Start / Stop 'Put car in neutral' message

Hi,

I have a new V40 R-design Nav Plus, brand new in March.

The start / stop function doesn't always work consitently and I can see from other posts this may just be temperature related.

However, when it does stop, it's frequently telling to 'Put the car in neutral before attempting to start' or similiar (when I'm in neutral already), rather than just starting back up automatically

Has anyone experienced this?

Thanks.

I have just experienced this on my new v40 T2 Momentum, only had it 6 weeks...noticed the start stop wasn't coming on but assumed it was due to cold weather..then over the weekend it has come on a few times, but I have a job getting the car started again having to wiggle gear lever etc to make it think it's in neutral . Booked it in to volvo in the new year, what was the resolution for you? New sensor? Look forward to your reply!!
