V90 CC Front Head Restraint Removal
Does anybody know if the front head restraints can be removed, I can't see anything obvious so wondered if there was a "secret".

Have a search in the old XC60 section, you have to squeeze in a couple of buttons under the leather and pull.

It makes it easier if 2 people do it - one pressing in the catches and one pulling uyp on the headrest at the same time." tem.

im afraid these are quite difficult to remove
remove hard plastic backing torx screws push cover up then use plain screw driver where metal head test goes into seat lever plastic get some one else to pull head rest up quite tight |

Adaptive head restraints
Act with caution as the head restraints are part of the safety set up in the car. Much like self tensioning seat belts and air bags they will have sensors etc.

Indeed, the head restraint safety system activation is passive and the movement is just the way the seat frame flexes in a collision, fairly standard across most marques these days, there aren’t that many automotive seating suppliers these days due to almagamation.

Many thanks, I've just had a quick look following advice above, it looks challenging! If I attempt it I'll let you know how I get on.
