'98 V70 for Sale

Hi,

I have a '98 V70, R plate, Metallic Green for sale.

Tax and MOT just expired and vehicle about to be SORN'd.

Selling due to recently buying newer vehicle (a later V70

)

Vehicle will need a single rear shock mount and NS Outer CV boot, for MOT otherwise this motor is a great runner and has flown through all its previous MOTs. Could probably do with a service, plugs, oil, filters etc.

Asking for £250. Will need tradeplates or trailer (or appointment at your local MOT station) to driveaway

. Vehicle in Northamptonshire area (just north of Northampton).

Body in reasonably good condition, pretty straight, a couple bumper scuffs, no rust or major dents, but has expected marks etc for a vehicle of this age. Interior is not bad, cloth seats etc, a couple of minor trim pieces missing here and there on back seats (seat belt trims on top corner of seats) otherwise everything more or less working. Rear ashtray trim also adrift. Needs tidying.

Would be a great workhorse for someone, or with a little more effort would be a great car. Is a bargain at this price, engine is sound, no smoking or knocking. Probably due a cambelt aswell.

Sounds good for the price, but worth adding if it's petrol / diesel, manual / auto to the ad to save lots of questions asking?

Duh I knew i'd miss something, thats what happens with latenight / early morning posts.

Vehicle is Petrol 2.4l 5cyl with Automatic gearbox, Drives well with smooth changes.

I should add there is also in fact a small knock on the NSF wing aswell but very minor (so minor i forgot to mention in original post) and has never bothered me.

I may also end up replacing the broken rear upper shock mount as this is an easy job, but will leave rest as is.

Car will be cleaned inside and out aswell.
