I went with pagid disks and brembo pads from carparts4less with a discount code.

They are absolutely spot on and have taken some abuse haha

Just bought vented rear discs, rear pads and front pads for just under £200 including delivery.
All genuine Volvo parts.
Quite pleased.
Could have got them a bit cheaper but hopefully this way there's no issue of incompatibility.

Thanks again for all the input.

From Volvo Parts Trade in the North East. Found through ebay but bought direct by phone after confirming my model. Ebay wasn't good at keeping the postage for two items down to the cost of one either. Always better to talk.

Should arrive tomorrow, but unlikely to be fitted this week-end, a bit chilly out!

Thanks again for assistance.

Although unlikely I'll have the car long enough to go through another set of discs, I always use copperslip grease on nuts and bolts that are likely to suffer from rust.

Cant find the video now but someone did a torque test on bolts with and without copper slip applied. With copper slip the bolt ended up overtorqued like f*** when the torque wrench was giving the same reading.

Edit:
Found the video
