Default How do I drain the diesel tank ?

Yes so the other half put petrol in the diesel. About 30 litres so it's now about a 50:50 mix
So how do I drain the tank ? 2009 XC60 D5 with push button keyless ignition.

Any advice please ?

Return line off fuel rail,

Remove it and push pipes on both ends into a container,

Now you have 2 options,

If you have spare car battery you can pop rear bench seat up and put a power feed to fuel pump wires, thick blue wire if i remember right,

Other option is keep switching ignition on for 30 seconds to run fuel pump,

Just not the xc60 has a sort of twin tank and uses the return line to tank to pull fuel from the slave side of the tank so when the fuel gets down between a quater and red refit the fuel lines and run ignition to run fuel pump to draw fuel from the side without the pump in it,

Thanks Rooster - but with it being keyless start (push button) how do I run the pump without starting the engine?

Will it run the pump if I push the button without the brake ?

You could use a mobile fuel draining service. Most filling stations know who to suggest.

Keep your foot off the clutch and brake then press the start button

To be honest If you're in the AA/RAC/Green Flag etc... I'd give them a call & ask them to sort it.

Don't forget you'll also need to replace the fuel filters as well.
