Auto Fluid Change?

Hello,

I'm sure this has been asked before but I have received conflicting advice and really need to clarify this issue.

Does a 2016 Volvo XC60 D4 190 FWD automatic need to have the gearbox fluid changed every 30,000 miles?

The UK Volvo website does not include this in their list of service items but other sources say it needs to be done.

always err on the side of safety, auto boxes are very expensive to repair /replace.

Not sure on your car as you have the newer 8-speed box but on the earlier boxes it was every 36k miles for "arduous use" vehicles (towing, taxi, hot climate). No interval was specified otherwise to my knowledge, but I think it is fair to say that most experienced members on here would not let their own cars go past about 70k.

related question....is the 8 speed box any more robust than the 6 speed?
