Default V70 Towing height

I'm not happy with the towing height of my caravan hitch. The caravan is balanced correctly but the Tow hitch on the car is low. Can the suspension be upgraded to raise the rear of the car?

when the towing vehicle is fully laden to its gross vehicle weight, but without the caravan attached, to be between 350mm and 420mm from the ground (13 3/4" and 16 1/2" in old Money

Without any Load you are on the bottom limit so any load would soon take it below the norm. You could try these which would help reduce the drop underload

I have never used any suspension support myself but other would never do without them (each to there own) so someone else may beable to suggested better ones. But I would consider rasing the ball if possible unless the car is sitting low on its rear suspension. Check the wheel arch clearing is correct for the module of V70 you have.

My V70 sits at the lowest height recommended for towing. It is the lowest spec V70 with 15" steel wheels. The only time it is a problem is around my local roads over cushion style speed bumps. I get a grinding noise off the end of the stabilizer blade. I looked into ways of raising the rear only because it annoyed me. I fitted Grayston GE15 spring assisters and they have done the trick.

I fitted some rubber spring assisters also on my V70 Classic SE and I am towing a twin wheeler Bessacarr and it sits about perfect now.
Only thing is they squeak so I am spraying with grease every couple of months.
