For Sale - 1999 V70 T5 SE
It is with great reluctance that I have to sell this amazing workhorse of a car after 14 years and 80k miles of ownership but Mrs 7Seats needs a smaller more frugal car for her commute so this has to go as I don't have the room for it now.
Anyone who cares to look through my threads will see that it's currently showing EML for front OČ sensor fault codes and it's running rich. I've disconnected both sensors to keep it stable. I've done measured refuels and it's about 24mpg. Car runs great apart from this but I can't figure it out and having to admit defeat and replace the car. Mechanically I think this car is sound, I've replaced a fair amount of stuff more out of pre-emptive maintenance than failure. It had a new clutch, DMF and slave cylinder just over 2 years ago, less than 10k miles on it. It has a stainless cat back exhaust that's 4 years old now, sounds really nice but not yobbo offensive. PCV and it's plumbing has been done as has all the vacuum hoses for silicone. Timing belt was done 2018 but car only covered about 5000 miles a year and the belt still looks good. Water pump is 80k miles old. It had a new genuine Volvo throttle body and updated (2006?) software loaded in 2018 by Lincoln Volvo. New maf to turbo tube a few years back as well. Springs and dampers are about 10 years old and still good. I've replaced both drive shafts, all 4 wheel bearings, both lower control arms and ARB drop links are HD ones iirc and still good. Compression tests are good and I've ran a block tester on the coolant tank and nothing comes through so the HG I fitted at 160k appears fine. It will come with oodles of spares including 2 wings (1 is a colour match, other is silver) and a full set of 4 door locks amongst other stuff. It has 240k on the clock and MOT expires Feb 2025! So a full year of driving and if it fails next year it's a good donor car. Win win! Hopefully the link below will take you to my Flickr album where I've dropped a load of photos as I don't know how to add them here. https://flic.kr/s/aHBqjBcSiw Car is in Newark-on-Trent and I'd invite genuine offers please. I have a fair price in my head and first to get there gets the car. Feel free to PM me for more info. Cheers for looking, Drew

Now breaking!
I've managed to obtain use of a leak down tester and cylinders 1 and 3 have very high leak rate compared to the others so engine/car is beyond economical repair for me at this point.
I'd rather it go whole to someone who can use it as a donor but if not then I'm going to start breaking it soon, everything will be available though. Make me an offer...
