Default Oil filter help!

My 2000 C70 is the 2435cc, trying to get the right oil filter but at Halfords it lists a 2.4 and a 2.5, which do I have?!!

Anyway, I bought a Champion C164 oil filter based on the 850 listing as the page for the C70 was missing in the shop! Any idea's if this is right? If not, any filter recommendations?!

Cheers
Matt

i doubt that will be the correct one if listed for an 850. 99 onwards S/C/V70's used the paper element type filter. Volvo part number is 1275810. if you quote that number to them they may be able to cross reference it. although i would of course recommend fitting a genuine volvo filter

You have the 2.4 engine (it's the same as mine).

As above, you need the paper element type of filter and not the metal canister type.

You will also need the appropriate tool to remove the filter housing.

It may be worth checking the price at a main dealer. (Mine was £6.50)

At least then you will have a genuine part and they will give you the correct one. I doubt halfrauds do it any cheaper than that.
