Lpg T4 first problem
Hay guys encountered my first problem today.
the car Driving on to the motorway (slip road) I booted it and i got a bleeping sound and it switched to petrol. It wouldn't let me reselect gas till i turned the car off and back on.. Any ideas to why this happened? will be taken in the garage next week (for its lpg check up after having it installed 900miles ago) |

Basically the engine wasn't getting enough gas for what you were asking it to do.
How much gas is in the tank? This can happen to mine if I'm running low on gas - pushing on a bit and going uphill then it'll change over to petrol. If you've only done 900 miles on LPG it's probably just due a tweak. There's a good reason why the installer will have asked you to go back after a week or two's use...... Cheers Jack |

It will most likely be a pressure drop. Normaly you can just switch back over once teh pressure has settled again without switching off.
It can most likely be solved by adjusting the gas pressure and possibly adjusting the fuel map |

You have changed the plugs already?
I would do a compression test to make sure all is ok on that side of things before chasing down any other path. What injectors did they fit in the end? i hope it was not the cheap valtek type 34 ones. Asuming all the above is ok I would fit direction manifold jets to prevent any backflow. They do work better than conventional ones especialy turbo set ups. Other than that it will be a case of sorting out the mapping. |
