How things have changed.

My V90 can keep a set distance from the car in front thanks to adaptive cruise.
I could drive hands off, but I cant bring myself to trust it.
What I really do like is the 360 deg. camera, bliss, heated seats and wheel, and the general level of comfort.

Trouble is when you have had all these options, you will also want them on your next car.
New cars seldom get cheaper do they?
I can remember when a heater was an extra. As for demisting that was an electric heating element bought as an extra from Halfords.
To answer the OP I would say sunroof, all around sensors and ACC. Chocolate Teapot award to heated windscreen .

My 1966 Triumph Herald's handbook included "Air Conditioning" in the list of contents.

Turn to the right page and with diagrams it explained how to open the "Quarter-Light"

Depends how far North you are. There's plenty of mornings up here in Scotland where the instant demist and quick de-ice comes in very handy.

I use the heated windscreen to defrost the car on remote start most days in winter, if you experience this, its a must have.

Everyone says the360 camera is essential, I dont have it as my brain doesnt work with the views from these, I just have the all round parking sensors instead, which comes with auto-park, but dont but it for the latter!

I miss the heated windscreen, but prefer having my HUD and like you use remote start to defrost and heat the car.

Re HUD vs heated screen

You are using the HUD all the time while you are driving, whereas you only use the heated screen on very cold days. Depending on the time you start driving and the temperature after 10 or 15 minutes getting the window to defrost you have the benefit of the HUD for the rest of the drive.

Totally agree with you, I had the heated screen on my 3 previous XC60’s but as I am retired, I can set remote start if I have to go out early and then enjoy the HUD.

In my view, the HUD is a very useful safety feature - less time looking down at the dash for current speed etc.
