Default Remote Key programming

What do you guys make out of this?

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...MEWA%3AIT&rd=1

Its apparently a way to program a new keyfob with your car without the need of Vadis (or any other tool)

I was going to bid on it but it sounds too silly. That is pretty much saying that if you ordered a blank fob of ebay for what a fiver? You could break into any car and program it.

I suspect this like the 850 where you could do this by switching on/off the car (not engine) and then finally pressign the unlock button. something along those lines anyway.

Just hit me... maybe you unlock with a genuine fob to disable the immobiliser and then you use the new fob to program it.

Not really read it but it seems like a bit of a con to me.

Just someone trying to make money on ebay.

Hi
i know that a key fob is a software issue, the software is down loaded and opens the lines of communication so progrmming can take place,ie programming fobs, the fobs them selfs come in a plastic package with the code printed on it,this number is used to programme the fob with out it,it cant be done, all fobs must come with its packaging or else just through it in the bin.so i really can see this working.
