Alarm Problem
2005 v70 2.4d
Yesterday our alarm started going off within a couple of minutes of locking the car. It does it every time weather you use the fob or just the key in the lock. The dim just says 'alarm triggered check vehicle' Does anyone know what the problem could be? I've checked all the doors etc and everything seems good. Thanks in advance. |

Pound to dead rat it's the battery. You can get them out, so I believe, but I changed the whole unit as the batteries had made a mess. Its a diy job. There's instructions on here how to access the unit but it will probably be about £130.

Friend of mine with a 2005 S60 has a similar problem, I put my money on the Alarm Siren module being at fault BUT his vida/dice says it's the interior motion sensors.
Apparently the sensors become unfixed in their housing - he's in the process of using sticky pads?? the re-secure them. Worth a look |

Must have been a ghost in the machine. Hasn't done it since I started this thread.
Thanks for the pointers though. |
